I am Milan Vaghela, a student at Uzima University pursuing MBChB and currently in my 4th year of study. RESPEKT was and will be one of my life changing experiences, it gave me the chance to have a positive impact directly on peoples’ lives, give back to the society and be a reason towards a positive change in within the youth and their thought process towards Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights(SRHR) and the critical issues it encompasses. It’s strange how the current youth generation still believe in certain strange ideologies and issues with regards to SRHR and are unaware of the some of the programs, services provided by the government for their health and well being in terms of SHRH. RESPEKT gave me the chance to be a part of a revolutionary process towards SHRH amongst our youths’, teens and adults too and spread the knowledge wide across hence help an individuals life positively. I have previously served as the local officer for SCOPH 2017/2018, local officer for SCORA 2018/2019, I have also served as the treasurer of Medical Students Association Of Uzima University for the year 2017/2018 and currently I am also the Vice-chairman of Rotaract Club of Uzima University for 2018/2019. Currently for Project RESPEKT, I am the Regional Coordinator within KISUMU Region handling both Uzima University and Maseno University, as well as an active volunteer.
