A medical student from Kenyatta University. I am part of the volunteer group in project RESPEKT which works hard to empower young minds on Sexual and Reproductive Health matters. I love teaching and project RESPEKT provided the opportunity to avail my time and knowledge for the betterment of society. It is my pleasure changing the lives of young people through mentorship and addressing the hushed issues of the community that are surrounded by lots of myths and misconceptions as well as so much stigma to the victims. Empowerment, enlightenment and bringing about health transformation in the community is the goal. When you know better, you do better.
Other than project RESPEKT, I am currently part of Amazing Minds Africa, an organization that works to impart knowledge on mental health and social and emotional skills on university students to ensure the optimum mental well being of the students. I head the research department (Kenyatta University chapter) and am part of the trainers and curriculum developers.
