My name is Fiona Kibugu. I am a third year medical student at the University of Nairobi. I currently serve in the Working Group as part of the Curriculum Development Committee. I am IFMSA and MSAKE active. Volunteer work has always been part of my life and it is true that the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. As a volunteer in project RESPEKT, I have come to learn many challenges that face Kenyan teenagers and have discovered ways in which some of the problems can be tackled. Through RESPEKT I have made friends for life, gained opportunities and had the privilege to work in a team where everyone’s unique skills and strengths help the group achieve a shared goal in the most effective way.
